Eight Belles

What an awful thing happened to the filly Eight Belles at the Kentucky Derby.
If anything positive can be said about the incident it is that millions witnessed it and maybe people will begin to question the criminal carelessness practiced by these people who make big money, using these animals to death. Horses give whatever is asked by us. Every time I watch a high stakes horse race I am on the edge of my seat, not that my favorite wins or loses, but rather, praying that each of those magnificent horses gets to return to it's stable safe and sound.
