Hi,

Sorry to drop in like this, but... you do have a blogger site...

I started my own Blogger site recently to use as a tool for learning French. Anyway. I noticed that you like the New Riders -- and "SANG" with them a few times. Wow! That's interesting.

I don't know any history of the band but for sure they are in tops in my book. I found four relatively new and outstanding tracks on Itunes from an album called Before Time Began. I guess they're tracks from the archives. And whoosh, very good tracks at that!

Sorry to ramble on, but it's rare that hear that someone's into NRPS. And actually, I have an opinion of the band based on their write up in Wikipedia. It seems that John Dawson has been maligned... by the band. Maybe I'm dreaming or imagining things, but he's not represented very well in that article, last time I checked. Now, in my opinion, while the others are great musicians, I feel that Dawson's voice has some very special qualties -- and for me his voice is THE highlight of the band. You can have another group like The Band which plays as excellently as an ensemble as NRPS, with three vocalists who like Dawson are very affective... but for me Dawson rises above the group somehow... And if he does have some extra special quality like this, maybe this explains why he's left out... Again. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Maybe you can set me straight.

Thanks,
Toby (from Vermont, Living in Montreal, Saw the Dead six times. :-)
